Operation I’m Not Ashamed of the Gospel: A fully Charged Word

I. You Have The Good News

Exp: When you have good news you can’t help but share it! The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16. What great news that is! God loves us so much that he sent Jesus so that we could be forgiven. The Gospel is the life of Jesus, the truths and promises of God and the good news of salvation.

II. The Gospel can Change Lives

Exp: The Gospel is not the same as any other ordinary news you might have, it has power! The gospel is fully charged with the power for people to believe in Jesus and be saved from sin and have eternal life. This is Salvation. “I am not shamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, first for the Jew then for the Gentile.” Romans 1:16

Ill: Nicky was a kid who got into a lot of trouble. His parents were Satanist and abused him badly. When he was older they sent him to New York City to live with his cousin. But instead he went out to live on the streets. One day he got beaten up really badly. So he taught himself to fight and he went out to fight the guy who beat him and beat this guy nearly to death! Later he became the leader of a gang! But one day a man came and told him about the gospel. Nicky later asked God to forgive him and became a Christian. Nicky is now a very well known pastor.

III. Go and Tell

Exp: In Mark 16:15 we read that Jesus said “Go into all of the world and preach the good news to all creation.” The world is full of people who need to hear the Gospel. There are so many people who have not heard that God loves them, that Jesus died on the cross for them and they can have salvation. Some of these people live in far away countries, some of these people live in our city and some of these people live in our street! We have this Good News and it’s our responsibility to share it.
